Littleton Wildland Team
The team currently consists of twenty-five suppression personnel with some bringing previous wildland and urban interface firefighting experience from throughout the western United States. Members are trained to meet or exceed standards set by the National Wildfire Coordinating Group and the Nation Fire Protection Agency for wildland firefighters. The main purpose of the team is to provide an increased level of skill and safety to the overall wildland fire and/or structure protection incident occurring "at home" or during mutual aid. Another team function is to share their knowledge with remaining field personnel during company-level training. Additionally, team members provide a qualified resource pool to staff apparatus that are called to help combat major wildfire events throughout Colorado. The Littleton Wildland Team is committed to providing the highest level of municipal wildfire protection to its citizens therefore maintaining the excellent reputation that the Littleton Fire Department has established toward public safety. |
